Continuing Professional Development Explained.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is used to describe learning activities professionals participate in to develop and enhance their abilities, skills and existing knowledge.
CPD ensures that learning continues to be proactive and conscious rather than passive and reactive. Itensures that qualifications and certifications do not become out-dated and obsolete and professionals remain aware of current research and relevant concepts.
CPD allows professionals to build on existing knowledge and skills, developing their competence, confidence and effectiveness.
JPilates CPD points are awarded according to the following criteria.
- Number of hours of learning- A course of 8 hours will be awarded 8 CPDs
- Assessment - For any CPD points awarded over 8 some form of written and practical assessment is required.
